Julia Suddenly

Julia Suddenly (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist from Australia. 

She works across film, music, and immersive installations to create moments of magic and reflection. Her work explores the edges of perception, the mystical in the everyday, and shifting notions of self. She draws on influences of the occult, the uncanny, and contemporary takes on ‘new age’ philosophies.

Her short film Aperture (2014) won Best Super 8 Film at the Revelation Film Festival, and her band Spice World was featured in Rolling Stone’s "25 Best Australian Albums of 2023." 

Julia completed her Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) at the University of Western Australia in Perth and Sciences Po, Paris.

She currently lives in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia.
